In the summer of 2010 I will be kayaking 2,500 miles from my family's home on the Crow River to Gillam, Manitoba. The trip is meant to raise awareness of conservation issues in the state of Minnesota, and to be a great adventure.

Letter from Rudy
Here's what Rudy has to say:"Been some hard paddlin' going upstream, but still making progress. Made it to St. Peter on the 1st. Can't wait to head down river again." As written to Mom in a letter.
Hey Rudy, Glad you are making progress. We got the letter yesterday. St. Peter on the 1st is Great but today is the 5th. Where are you now. Looking forward to the next post. Hopefully more frequently. Good Luck - Be Safe Dad
read this the other day, made me think a lot about what you're doing out there... some advice from a wise man...
"You're going to have to handle some pretty heavy whitewater up north. Lots to learn, both you and the boat. Better do it somewhere where you can afford the lessons." -Sigurd Olson

I'm a Minnesota native with a love of out of doors adventures. I will be attending the University of Kansas this fall. I will enroll in the Doctoral Cognitive Psychology program, working with Dr. Vitevitch.
